CHIEF HENRY ESHIJONAM OMU is a seasoned and experienced Legal Practitioner who was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990 after graduating from the University of Benin in 1989 bagging LL.B (Hons) with Second Class Honours (Upper Division). Chief Omu undertook his Law Office attachment at the Gani Fawehinmi Chambers, Legal Practitioners in 1990. He commenced his working experience with the Chambers of Debo Akande (SAN) & Co. Legal Practitioners, between December, 1990 - April, 1991 before he performed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme with the Law Firm of Ben O. Anyaduba & Co. Legal Practitioners in Onitsha, Anambra State between the period of May, 1991 - April 1992 (NYSC). Chief Omu joined the Law Firm of Lilian Esiri & Co. Legal Practitioners, between June, 1992 - July, 2003 where he rose to be the Managing Partner before he left to set up his law Firm Henry Omu & Co, Barristers, Solicitors & Notaries Public where he has been the Principal Partner from August, 2003 till date. In the course of his about 28 years legal practice, Chief Omu has acquired experiences spanning most aspect of Litigation and Commercial Law Practice including Criminal, Civil/Commercial Litigation up to Appellate Courts level, Commercial drafting and Contract Administration, Preparation of diverse Commercial Agreements, Intellectual Property consultancy, litigation and dispute resolution consultancy, Corporate Affairs Consultancy, Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of several private and public companies, Immigration Affairs Consultancy, oil and gas consultancy, property and real estate consultancy, labor relations/master-servant’s consultancy etc. Chief Omu is a Notary Public for the Federal Republic of Nigeria since the 24th January, 2005 and he has attended several seminars and conferences such as the International Bar Association Annual Conference held at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center, Boston, Massasuechetts USA on the 6th - 11th October, 2013 and the one held at the International Convention Center, Sydney, Australia on the 8th - 13th October, 2017 etc. Chief Omu is the Osuma of Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha-North Local Government Area of Delta State and he is married with children. Mr Omu is a member of the Nigeria Bar Association, International Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, American Bar Association (Section on International Law).
